Beautiful, fragile, introspective, personal. This album is a great little gem from one of the best contemporary professional keyboarders. (I only wished that some of the pieces (statements of mood) would be a bit longer).

The Nag’s Head was my local watering hole and favourite nightspot for my formative years and, godammit, I would have been here for this gig had I not left High Wycombe for Cornwall 9 years previously. Porcupine Tree eventually went on to become my favourite band and on listening to this recording of their first public outing it’s easy to see why. Yes, the actual recording could sound a little better but it perfectly evokes the charged atmosphere of that small cramped upstairs room. Awesome!
